ARTISTIC PORTRAIT LOOKS COLLECTION
From light and airy pastels to downright dark and moody magnificence, the Artistic Portrait Looks Collection are guaranteed to add real drama to your image. But whoah, hold the bus I hear you say - Aren't you John G Moore, Monochrome Master, a man of taste and distinction - the master of the subtle, understated but beautiful image. Surely these dramatic and colourful looks couldn't be your doing? 🙂 Ahhh, you'd be wrong there you see. The thing is these looks might be a teeny bit too dramatic for some folks straight out of the blocks, but...
I have a cunning plan. Let me let you in on a secret... 😉
I use a very handy and most excellent Plugin for Lightroom called 'The Fader' by Jarno Heikkinen. This awesome tool lets you apply a Develop preset to any image whilst simultaneously giving the user control of the level and opacity of the Preset applied. Instead of static “100% full on” presets, you can now dynamically choose how much of the preset you want to apply - from zero to 100%. And of course, if like me, you like a bit of Motorhead, The Fader also goes up to 150% too, so you can over-process your over processing! It might get messy though, as my beautiful assistant Maya often remarks. 🙂
So... those presets that on first viewing might look a bit way over the top suddenly take on a whole new value when used in this way. Not convinced? Well - check out the example video for the big scoop. I'm a straight up guy - anyone who knows me will vouch for that, so when I say you'll love it... You'll love it. You'd be daft not to. 😉
