John G Moore is an internationally acclaimed photographer, designer, and filmmaker, from Glasgow, Scotland. He also presented popular Amazon Prime Photography TV Series Gone Shootin.
John is known for great versatility in his work, shooting differing genres such as Landscape, Portrait, Fashion & Beauty, and Music Photography and CD Cover/Tour Brochure Design. Creative from his early years, John started his photography with a Kodak brownie that his grandfather gave him when he was five. In his teens, he honed his skills shooting Rock Bands at the legendary Glasgow Apollo. In his twenties John worked in a Glasgow Music Store specialising in sales and support of Synthesizers and Pro Audio equipment. His clients included The Blue Nile, Simple Minds, Wet Wet Wet and composer Craig Armstrong.
John has since progressed to become one of the UK's formative photographic talents and he regularly works on assignments in both the UK and the USA. John's B+W Photography is particularly acclaimed; his eye for composition, clarity, deep tonal rendition, and an understanding of the transcendental nature of light, combine to bring a cinematic quality to his work making it an exception to the norm. Published regularly in national photography magazines, he is an accomplished, multi-faceted photographer and a known expert in digital imaging techniques. He has extensive knowledge of both Medium Format and 35mm DSLR Workflows and has been featured on Adobe, Microsoft's and Hasselblad's websites, amongst others. His work was recently featured in an exclusive exhibition at Saatchi Art curated by acclaimed actress Jamie Lee Curtis. Over his career to date either live and studio, John has photographed:
